Secure Communication Link  connecting two points, on a 14-kilometer route, in Lisbon. FCCN, IPTelecom and Warpcom, partners in the Portuguese Quantum Communications Infrastructure – PTQCI project, joined forces to implement a modern secure communications link, through a system that combines a quantum cryptographic technology with network and security solutions, connecting two points, on a 14-kilometer route, in Lisbon. A Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) system was used to perform the activity, with the purpose of guaranteeing the security of the generation of cipher keys between two points. Quantum encryption technology will be developed for the ultra-secure transmission of information. The project has funding of 25 million euros and has a duration of 3 and a half years. Member entities of the consortium   The Quantum Communications research group of the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) and the University of Aveiro (UA) integrates the new European project Quantum Secure Networks Partnership (QSNP). The initiative aims to develop a quantum encryption technology for the secure transmission of information in communication networks. We organized the "Quantum Technologies Research Groups Meeting", which took place on the 17th of July, 2023, at the Amphitheater of the Instituto de Telecomunicações Aveiro. Admission Requirements: Any national, foreign and stateless candidate(s) holding a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Informatics, Physics, Physics Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, Telecommunications, or related scientific fields, and holders of a curriculum that reveals an adequate profile and background for the activity to be developed.
